June 16 – 20, Mon-Fri, 9:30 a.m. - noon
Level I Dance Intensive with
Angela Dennis, Terrill Mitchell, Lauren Slone, Kelley Wood
June 23 - 27, Mon-Fri, 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m., Cost $200
For beginning/intermediate dancers aged 9 and up with a minimum of 2 years ballet training. Activities will include conditioning and stretching, technique classes in ballet, jazz, modern and musical theatre.
July Dance Intensives with
Angela Dennis, Terrill Mitchell, Liz Rossi, Lauren Slone,Jamie Stutler, Desiree Witt, Kelley Wood
July 7 – July 18, Mon-Fri and July 21 – August 1, Mon-Fri
Level 2 – 11:40 a.m. to 5:55 p.m. daily
Students should have attained approximately level A/B or B. Classes include ballet,modern, jazz, choreography, strengthen & stretch, pointe or pre-pointe, variations, and costuming.
Level 3 – 9:00 a.m. to 3:20 p.m. daily
Students should have attained approximately level B or B/C. Classes will include ballet,pointe, variations, partnering, modern, jazz, choreography, pilates and floor barre.
Weekend Workshop with
Heather Ahern, Director of WVU’s Dance Program
Saturday, July 19 – Sunday, July 20 (Times TBA), Cost $50
Ms Ahern, will teach modern dance, partnering and choreography.($40 when taken in conjunction with the July Dance Intensive)
Monday, August 11 - Friday, August 15, Cost $160
Ages 12 and up, 5:30 - 8:30 p.m. daily.
Once again Cecil Slaughter, formerly of the Dayton Contemporary Dance Company and now a faculty member at Washington University, St. Louis, returns to MDS to challenge a new group of dancers with Horton based technique classes and original choreography.

Spring Sessions Begin

MORGANTOWN DANCE STUDIO
Classes at the Morgantown Dance Studio are designed both for those who may wish to pursue a career in dance, and for students of all ages who simply wish to enjoy the many benefits of dance. Instructors place students at appropriate levels according to age, experience, and mastery of basic technique. For young children, social and physical development, rather than age, determine placement.

Each summer we offer Master Classes and Workshops with noted teachers and choreographers as well as short sessions of technique classes for the serious student. For our younger students we offer Dance Camps and Summer Intensives.
